Celebrity Wedding Dresses

In the past, it is a norm that brides walked down the aisle in identical white wedding dresses, but modern women are breaking the mould when it comes to choosing their wedding dresses. The modern day wedding gowns say more about the bride's individual style.

Sarah Jessica Parker got married in classic black and Gwen Stefani, in pink on her big day. The hip hop star Kelis celebrated her marriage in a green gown.

For some brides, it is not just their favourite colour that influence how they choose their wedding dresses whilst many would want to use their bridal gowns to help emphasise their best physical attributes.

Supermodel Heidi Klum married Seal when she was five months pregnant with her son Henry. She chose one of Vera Wang's maternity wedding gowns - an ivory dress with an empire waistline that proudly showed off her tummy, to look fabulous, when she said her vows. Her bridal dress was made of Chantilly lace, which is considered to be the most delicate and costly lace available, for her outfit.

Brides-to-be should bear a few important factors in mind especially when considering other designer fabrics:

Every bride would want and need to be beautiful and comfortable in her big day. So, she always has to test how the fabric feels against her skin. Therefore, when shopping for their ideal designer bridal fabrics brides-to-be should make sure the materials they choose do not scratch or irritate their skin. Organza, chiffon, silk, crepe, crinkle cotton and rayon are all fabrics that are lightweight and wrinkle resistant and make them excellent choices for a destination wedding. Because some brides opt to jet-off to exotic locations to tie their knot and need to consider well about the bridal fabrics that travel well with them.

Once you have decided about your wedding dress, arrange with your hair stylist to discuss wedding hair styles that will suit your bridal gown, style and face, well in advance of the big day.

Also be mindful that it is not the time to start experimenting with new wedding hair styles. When choosing an elegant hair-do, whether romantic loose tresses or a funky short style, consider about hair accessories too, ie. fresh flowers, tiaras, hair bands, clips and jewels, which could be your crowning glory, which could be so many to choose from.
