Many airline companies like ‘easyJet’ are following the publicity-seeking route put forward by their rival, ‘Ryanair’, by declaring that it will soon start offering in-flight marriages. This can take the weddings to a whole new level. The wedding treat will include two sandwiches, a couple of mini boxes which has Pringles, two quarter bottle of red, a coffee to finish for one which comes in a very reasonable twenty four pounds which is quite reasonable. Many of the captains of these aircrafts think that this is a great idea as for them officiating a wedding can be a very special honour. It may be exciting for him but most of the passengers may prefer him to be focused in flying the plane. But the concept must get approval from the Luton council which can be a major obstacle in the flourishing of in-flight weddings.
This council must grant airlines a marriage license. This move will mark the departure of ‘easyJet’ which has still now commendably restricted itself from these types of publicity stunts of the airlines such as Virgin and Ryanair. The airline company posted an alarming one hundred and seventeen million pounds loss in its last quarter statements. Because of the weakness in the pound, most of the Britons are turning away from their trips to Continental Europe. The eastJet should be seeking some publicity as they will be forced to do so even by doing publicity stunts as they are desperately in search of some.
Airline publicity stunts are going over the top and even the publicity-shy Sir Richard Branson is forced to do these by claiming that the couples flying in any Virgin flights will soon be allowed legally to get the “Mile High Club” membership in the new sound-proofed and padded lavatories and the China Eastern Airline company announced that it will limit its passengers to have just one lavatory visit each flight in order to save some fuel. And these tactics are working perfectly and show s the lengths to which airlines can go to stay in the headlines and gain some publicity.
